Acceptance Commitment Training for Parents. ACT offers parents a way to manage their stress based on the concept of mindfulness, or the awareness and nonjudgmental acceptance of one’s ongoing experiences.
This course will help parents reduce stress. Video introduction explains the science behind stress and the effects on parenting a child with disabilities and the family’s well-being. The course offers a number of strategies for reducing anxiety and stress. 4 modules including video and guided audio exercises.

Audience: Parents with children who have autism or intellectual disabilities.
